Car enthusiasts are generally some of the best people you will ever meet.  I personally have always enjoyed going to car shows.  It’s not just the sights and sounds that you’ll find there, but many times it’s the people you meet that make the trip so worthwhile.  This site will hopefully help you find a great automotive event to check out, no matter where you are or what time of year it is.

I grew up going to car shows with my dad.  As a young kid I just couldn’t get enough of it.  His influence on me made me passionate about cars.  While my friends were excited about the usual science fiction and action themed cartoons and movies that most kids watched at that time – I was drawn to things like “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Magnum PI”, “The Cannonball Run”, and “Smokey & the Bandit”.  For me, the amazing vehicles stealing every scene were the main characters.  The orange Dodge Charger, the red Ferrari 308, the black Lamborghini Countach, and the 6.6 liter Pontiac Trans Am were the stars of the show for me.  They were what I was there to see.  OK…that and Daisy Duke probably had something to do with it too.

At like 8 or 9 years old, I could identify other cars on the road at night by just glancing at the tail light configurations.  I began to look for subtle details in older cars like the custom badging, the location and number of turn signal lenses on the bumpers or fenders, the wheel styles, or maybe the paint colors to try to tell what year that car was released.  It was clear that I was a car geek from an early age, and over the years it has only gotten worse.
